Website and beta terms

A dependable product starts with clear expectations.

Last updated: 22 July 2026

These terms cover use of the Faculty Assistant product website, enquiry forms and any pre-release beta made available to you. A paid institution deployment may include a separate written agreement that takes priority where its terms differ.

Beta status

Pre-release software is provided for evaluation and may change, contain defects or be withdrawn. Keep source reports and official records in their approved systems, review every calculation and export, and follow your institution's assessment and records policies.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for lawful access to the Moodle courses, documents and records you use, for checking question keys and grades, and for approving anything published or uploaded to an official system. Faculty Assistant does not replace lecturer judgment or institutional authorization.

Accounts and connectors

Do not share credentials, licence access or institution connectors. Connected features may only be used with accounts and courses you are authorized to manage. We may suspend access where security, misuse or licence validity requires it.

Academic and personal data

Do not submit student records, examination papers, answer keys, passwords or service tokens through the public website form. Desktop and institution deployments must be used in line with applicable law, university policy and any deployment-specific data agreement.

Plans, invoices and activation

Submitting an upgrade or institution enquiry does not activate a paid licence. Price, duration, eligible users and payment instructions must be confirmed before activation. Institution coverage applies only to the approved institution and identity domains recorded for that agreement.

Availability and outputs

We work to make exports accurate and workflows dependable, but no software output should be treated as final without review. To the extent permitted by law, the beta is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular institution workflow.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to bypass licensing, access another person's courses, disrupt the service, reverse engineer protected connectors, or use the product to facilitate academic dishonesty or unlawful handling of personal data.

Changes and contact

These terms may be updated as the beta and commercial service develop. Material changes will be reflected by the date above. Use the website contact form for questions about access, deployment or these terms.
